The stars come out to play in Cannes Film Festival and this year we’ve seen some hot beauty looks from some of our favourite L’Oreal Paris ambassadors. We’ve picked our favourite beauty looks from Cannes’ opening weekend and have the lowdown on how to get the look.
Blake Lively dazzled the red carpet while making her Cannes Film Festival debut at the Grace of Monaco premiere. The actress and L’Oreal Paris ambassador stole our hearts with her luscious lashes, flawless base and messy braided ponytail.
This look is a classic red carpet look and always a winner. Soft romantic eye shadows, minimal black eyeliner and lashes for days complemented Blake’s glamorous gown perfectly.
Recreating this look is simple with three main products. Creative director Karim Rahman used L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Quad in E4 Marron Glace and applied this all over the lids.
“It’s important to apply eye shadow as close to the lash line as possible. Applying it right to the edges is key to achieving the perfect result”, says Karim.
Highlighting the brow bone with the lightest shade and applying L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes in Black defined the eyes. Finishing up on L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse in 101 Lolita for the perfect pink pout.
Another recent addition to the L’Oreal Paris family and red carpet favourite, Zoe Saldana, oozed red carpet sophistication at Day 2 premier of Mr Turner. Showing us just how fresh and glamorous you can get, Zoe styled her gown with smoky dark eyes, a touch of rose blush and nude lips.
“For a naturally-luminous complexion, I recommend adding a blush to upper cheekbones using your blush brush. It’s simple and the result is stunning”, says Karim.
Recreate this look with L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation in N6 Honey worked into the skin and L’Oreal Paris True Match Blush in 120 Sandalwood Rose on the upper cheek. Apply L’Oreal Paris Superliner Gel Eyeliner along the lash line, winging out slightly and finish with L’Oreal Paris False Lash Butterfly in Black for lush lashes.
Her sweeping side part and volume at the crown gives this style added elegance, leaving us wanting more.
Also attending the Mr. Turner premier in Cannes, Julianne Moore opted for a minimal theme in her makeup look with gorgeous, soft eyes and flawless skin.
Her glowing complexion took centre stage with L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Serum. Karim Rahman added a touch of shimmer along the upper cheekbones to highlight areas needed.
“A glitter effect to finish the make up should only be applied to the area you wish to highlight”.
For eyes, L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quad in E4 Absolute Taupe was used along with L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes in Black. Coupled with a simple sweep of natural sheen on the lips using L’Oreal Paris Color Riche in 255 Blush in Plum, Julianne worked the red carpet in true Hollywood style.
