Jennifer Lawrence




It was a huge night for the winner of the Best Actress award, Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer opted for a natural look to complement her demurely beautiful Christian Dior haute couture gown. Her skin was flawless with a light sweep of pink blush on the cheeks and a soft pink glossy lipstick. Jennifer’s blue eyes stood out with the help of glittery brown eye shadow, false lashes and light black eyeliner applied along the bottom lashes.  The star’s hair was pulled up into a stunning twisted bun by stylist Mark Townsend from Dove.


Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried’s natural beauty look was similar to Lawrence’s. The actress kept her skin fresh and natural looking with a pale pink lip. Her eyes were the highlight framed with smoky purple eye shadow and black eyeliner along the top lashes. Amanda’s hair was swept off her face into a glamorous up-do with a few flyaway strands for a softer look.

Naomi’s porcelain skin was complemented with a rosy blush and pink lipstick for a natural beauty look. Her blue eyes were highlighted with sparkling silver eye makeup and black mascara. The star’s hair was pretty and feminine in a messy quiff style at the front pulled into a soft bun.


Jessica Chastain




Jessica Chastain was absolutely flawless and one of our favourite Oscars beauty look! Channelling old Hollywood glamour, her long red locks were styled by Renato Campora into retro waves that cascaded down her back. Jessica kept her skin creamy and flawless with a sweep of black eyeliner across her top lashes and thick black mascara. For a pop of colour, Jessica went for classic bright red lips that worked perfectly to complement her milky white complexion.


Olivia Munn




Raven haired beauty, Olivia Munn, looked like a true screen siren on the red carpet. Her dark locks were pulled into a glam up-do with her fringe swept across her face.  Olivia wore a deep cool red lipstick that looked stunning with her olive skin and dark hair. Her skin was luminous and sun-kissed with a lick of black liquid liner across her top lashes.


Reese Witherspoon




Blonde beauty Reese Witherspoon brought old-school screen star glamour to the red carpet. Her blonde hair was parted to the side and worn down in big side swept waves.  Her blue eyes sparkled with smoky eye shadow, black liner and mascara. Her lips were left bare to ensure her eyes stood out.


Amy Adams




Amy Adams was elegantly beautiful at this year’s Oscars. Her makeup was minimal and kept natural with a hint of pink blush and glossy pink lip stain. Amy’s hair was the highlight of her beauty look that was fashioned into a modern messy French roll. Hairstylist Laini Reeves parted her hair in the middle into a messy chignon with loose wisps to frame her face.  Reeves explained Amy “wanted to channel the glamour of Hollywood Regency with a 60’s vibe”. For added texture, two coats of Moroccan oil Volumizing Mousse was scrunched into her auburn tresses.

The best supporting actress looked truly beautiful on the red carpet. Her pixie cut was styled with her fringe sweeping across her forehead for a soft and feminine look. Anne’s makeup was pretty and minimal, with petal rose coloured lips, glowing cheeks and black mascara.


Charlize Theron




Charlize Theron stunned with modern elegance and a striking hair style. Her cropped blonde hair was styled with a deep side part and a swept back fringe. Her makeup was kept soft and natural with a brush of black liner to ensure her blue eyes shone.


Sandra Bullock





Sandra’s signature sleek hair-do was on display at the Oscars and for good reason too! Impossibly straight and glossy her brown locks were parted to the side and worn down. A sparkling silver hairpiece was the finishing touch to her beautiful hair adding some glamour to her red carpet look.


Jennifer Aniston




The actress’ trademark hair was showcased wearing it loose and blown out. Hairstylist Chris McMillan revealed the “key word is natural and comfortable” and used Living Proof hair products for soft straight hair. To make her blue eyes pop, Jennifer wore false eyelashes and kept the rest of her makeup natural looking.

Zoe Saldana




Zoe’s look was all about sultry smoky eyes. She wore a dazzling brown, grey and black eye shadow and a sweep of black mascara to highlight her brown eyes. Her skin was naturally glowing with a neutral coloured lip stain.


And let’s not forget our handsome leading male actors! The main trends for men this year were the sleek Elvis-inspired hair-do and the well groomed facial hair look.

Clooney went for a sophisticated old school look with a grey beard adding to his sex appeal! Thompson recommends using American Crew defining paste for a gritty texture to get Clooney’s look.
